Elizabeth Wearing-Smith was born on 1 August 1932 in Collie, Western Australia, Australia. She was married to James Alexander Wearing Smith. She died on 16 October 2014 in Mount Nasura, Western Australia, Australia.
Worked in the Australian Army and also as a Flying Doctor in remote areas of Northern Australia treating Aborigines before joining the Department of Justice in Western Australian providing health care to prisoners in Australia's prison, including the famous Fremantle Prison (now a museum).
