The new Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game from Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham was released for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One back on August 18th, and at the end of last month they added not just a new map (free to all players), but also a couple of new characters that players have to pay to access: a victim named Danny and a killer named Nancy. The motion-capture and vocal performances for Nancy were provided by BAFTA winner Cissy Jones, whose previous credits include the most recent Evil Dead video game. A newly released promo video shows exactly how Jones brought Nancy to life, and you can check it out at the bottom of this article.

Gun Interactive have dropped a little behind-the-scenes video for fans who have picked up the recent Dlc for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, featuring new Survivor Danny, as well as the newest member of the Family in Nancy. The latter of whom is the topic of the new video.
Motion-captured and voiced by BAFTA-winning voice actor Cissy Jones, the video shows off Jones performing the brutal hammer hits and more in the mocap suit, as well as a brief interview with Jones on her work in the game.
“Being able to bring a new member of the family to life has been a little terrifying, but super awesome,” says Cissy, whose character Nancy is based on an amalgamation of multiple female serial killers throughout history. “Everyone’s been amazing. You can’t find a better crew. It’s really, really fun, and it’s gotten a little dark. But that’s okay,...

If you were hoping to see Kane Hodder doing his thing once again as Leatherface in Gun Interactive’s upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the devs have just the thing. Gun Interactive has released a brand new behind-the-scenes video showing off Texas Chain Saw Massacre‘s mocap sessions, which just so happens to start off with Hodder (jokingly) saying that he will kill someone on film.
The video doesn’t focus entirely on Hodder, mind you. We have appearances by Kristina Klebe (who plays Family member Sissy in the Texas Chain Saw Massacre), Dove Meir (who is doing the mocap for Family member Johnny), Hunter Smith, Sean Whalen, Troy Burgess and Scout Taylor-Compton chatting it up about the motion capture process. “That’s the beauty of motion capture,” explains Smith. “You can set up an environment anywhere, you layer out the space, and then it’s your play world.”

Ten months ago, we heard that the Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game being developed by Gun Interactive and Sumo Nottingham will be introducing killers other than the Leatherface, Cook, and Hitch-Hiker characters from the original Chainsaw film (watch it Here). Killer characters that haven’t been seen in any of the movies. Now the folks at Game Spot have made their way through an alternate reality game experience that led them to the reveal of two of those new killer characters: Johnny and Sissy. Click over to Game Spot to find out how you can experience the Arg yourself, and scroll down to the bottom of this article to get a look at Johnny and Sissy.
Game Spot notes that Johnny and Sissy “were created by Gun in collaboration with Kim Henkel, the movie’s original screenwriter and rightsholder.” As Gun’s creative director Ronnie Hobbs said last year, “As interesting as The Cook,...

New blood will spatter the cabins at Camp Crystal Lake next fall when the folks at Gun Media release Friday the 13th: The Game on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. A new gameplay overview video explains how fixing the phone can save you from the wrath of Jason Voorhees.
"This is the 3rd entry in a series of videos that will help explain one of the ways that counselors can survive their night in Camp Crystal Lake for Friday the 13th: The Game. Calling the Police requires fixing the outside call box in the cabin and then successfully completing a call before Jason gets you. At that point you have 10 minutes till the round ends, but you still have to make your way to them at a random entry point.
Notice: Any footage of Friday the 13th: The Game used in this gameplay overview video should be considered a work in progress.

The folks at Gun Media want to give gamers the chance to play a new Jason Voorhees video game for the first time since 1989, and with nine days to go on its Kickstarter (which has now raised over $600,000), Friday the 13th: The Game's version of Camp Crystal Lake is teased in a pre-alpha video.
Friday the 13th: The Game will bring some familiar faces back to camp, with Sean S. Cunningham, Tom Savini, Kane Hodder, and Harry Manfredini involved in the game's development, along with co-creator/designers Wes Keltner and Ronnie Hobbs and more.
Should it reach its $700,000 fundraising goal, Friday the 13th: The Game will feature a seven player experience in which one person plays Jason Voorhees and the other six take on the roles of camp counselors. If it becomes fully funded, the game is expected to come out in October of 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One,...

The horror legends of yesteryear are making a big comeback across cinema, with studios fast-tracking reboots or new installments for A Nightmare on Elm Street, Jeepers Creepers and Friday the 13th. In fact, it’s the latter retelling that will hit theaters first, with Platinum Dunes aligning the film for release in May of 2016. But what of the video game industry?
Supermassive recently knocked the really rather difficult concept of a narrative-driven horror game out of the park with Until Dawn, which released to much critical acclaim earlier this year. Placing a unique spin on the cabin-in-the-woods set-up, the studio’s unique and interactive adventure has proven to be one of the sleeper hits of the year, and Gun Media will be hoping to piggyback off that buzz with their own horror title.
