This week’s featured creators are familiar faces here at Tubefilter. In August, Damon Dominique and Jo Franco -- known as just ‘Damon and Jo’ to fans -- starred in our YouTube Millionaires column after netting one million subscribers. Since then, this globetrotting duo has gained nearly 100,000 more subscribers, and their round-the-world adventures, about which they produce videos in multiple languages, have been netting between two and five million views per month.
Make no mistake -- though Dominique and Franco don’t have view counts in the hundreds of millions like some of our other Creators Going Pro featurees, they are pros. Just 27 and 26 respectively, they’ve taken their love of travel and turned it into a full-scale business: their recently relaunched travel site Shut Up and Go. Dominique and Franco manage a team of 10 staffers for the site, which offers content about everything travel-related, from how mental health and...

Damon Dominique and Jo Franco are getting serious about sustainability. The travel vloggers, who share videos on their YouTube channel Damon and Jo, recently traveled to Kenya alongside the LifeStraw brand to bring clean drinking water to communities in Kenya. In addition, they have been announced as two of the judges for Sony's Picture This, a filmmaking competition based around the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
LifeStraw is a handheld tool that allows its user to create filtered, potable water. Through their partnership with the brand, Damon and Jo helped install 3,568 water filters in Western Kenya, thus providing local schoolchildren with access to clean water. As they are wont to do, they documented their experience in a vlog.
“Our partnership with Lifestraw is hands down one of the most fulfilling and on-brand partnerships we’ve ever done," said Damon and Jo in a press release. "Not only was...
