Dagoberto Sánchez Batista (born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, February 18, 1985) better known as Dago Sánchez is an actor, producer, filmmaker and commentator.
He began his career in 2002, participating in 4 Dominican films, 6 short films, 2 commercials and 1 television series. During his preparation he has traveled the most recognized acting schools in the Dominican Republic, obtaining outstanding results. In 2007 he added for a small role in the novel Trópico by director Luis Llosa where he shared scenes with the veteran Peruvian actor Javier Delgiudice and the Dominicans José Guillermo Cortines and Georgina Duluc. In that year he participated for the first time in a contest of poems and poetry in Colombia, obtaining the 5th place and evaluated by the famous writer Mario Benedetti.
On 2 occasions he is invited by the Dominican Book Fair to give talks about cinema to young people interested in the 7th art. He has produced commercials and short documentaries for state institutions such as the Navy, among others. He is considered to be the youngest and most controversial Dominican film commentator, for his frank and direct style when issuing his opinions. Collaborator of the newspaper El Dia where he has a unique film column in the digital version sharing with other Dominican columnists such as Victor Victor, Fausto Polanco, Father Rogelio Cruz among others.
In 2008 she is part of the talents and production of the TV Tiempo Free program, leading the Cinefilia film section. His extensive knowledge about cinema leads him to collaborate in the TV program Iamdra Full in 2009 and on radio in program 12 and 2 with Sergio Carlo and Karina Larrauri, achieving in this exclusive interviews with international figures such as the famous presenter and Argentine model Candela Ferro. The 2010 for his outstanding performance in the novel Trópico is called by the same Luis Llosa to participate in his novel Condesa por Amor where he shared scenes with the prominent Dominican actress Michelle Vargas.
He also collaborates in magazines including: Waiting Room that is distributed in countries such as Venezuela, Uruguay, Spain, Panama and the Dominican Republic with the section Sin Guion, Global Magazine of the Global Democracy and Development Foundation, and Factoria Magazine with a special section of cinema and fashion Movie Glam. His unique style has led him to interview national and international film figures such as: Emiliano Otegui, Concha Buika, Jaume Balagueró, Adam Irigoyen, Enrique González Macho, John Huerta, Ivana Chubbuck, Maribel Verdu, Edward James Olmos, Gaby Espino, Adriana Barraza, Andrés García, Philip Bloom, Andrés Vicente Gómez among others. Currently belongs to the Public Relations and Communications team of the Dominican Global Film Festival.
