Born in Moscow, Russia, to the family of hereditary circus artists.
Ekaterina's great-grandmother Julia Golubeva-Poldi (also known as Julia Tiual), applauded by the audience of all circuses in Europe, was the first-ever female circus cyclist with her unique stunt: flips on a bike with a toss-up board.
In her early years, Ekaterina performed as a child actress, she did leads in several Russian movies. Then, she studied classical and folk dance and worked as a ballet soloist in «Russian Seasons" of in the troupe of Nikolai Androsov travelling with performances in many countries of the world. Later she worked as a TV presenter, starred in music videos, recorded a vocal part in "Canto de pilon" by the band "Sambateria".
In 2004, Ekaterina mastered with a lawyer's degree.
In 2016 she graduated from the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors in Moscow. As a student, Ekaterina authored three short films as a Director, Screenwriter, and a Producer. All her films became laureates and prize-winners of film festivals in Russia, USA, and Europe.
In 2018 Ekaterina founded SMENA Film company as its Producer General and the C.E.O. In September 2020, her producer debut, a full-length feature comedy "Russian Spleen", directed by Alexey Kamynin, entered a competition of a major Russian film festival "Kinotavr". The world premiere of the film was held in November 2019 in the competition of Tallinn Black Nights film festival (PÖFF). In the fall of 2020 "Russian Spleen" was released commercially in Russia and in summer 2021 - internationally, by HBO Go.
