Christopher Lynch(XVI)
- Additional Crew
Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Chris Lynch moved to Washington, D.C., after graduating from Michigan State University. After starting in the Intelligence Division mail room at FBI Headquarters, he became a counterintelligence officer, first in the FBI, and then moving to the CIA nine years later. As an operations analyst, he specialized in the KGB for fifteen years, and later worked cases around the world, assessing FBI and CIA tradecraft, and detecting hostile control. He experienced the pain of learning that Aldrich Ames and his former supervisor Robert Hanssen had compromised KGB assets working for the U.S. in operations he had supported. Chris also worked on double agents, illegals operations, and "special projects" that spanned the globe. Since retiring, he has authored The C.I. Desk: FBI and CIA Counterintelligence As Seen From My Cubicle, and has served as a technical consultant to the FX network television series, The Americans, and Netflix' House of Cards.
