Josh Braunreuther is an Emmy-nominated Director of Photography with over a decade of experience in film and television. His career began as a photojournalist at WCIV in Charleston, SC, where he quickly gained recognition, winning several NPPA awards for his journalism. His contributions as a Camera Operator on acclaimed documentaries such as Icarus and The Dissident-the former winning an Academy Award and the latter a Writers Guild Award-further solidified his reputation as a rising talent in the industry.
In 2021, Josh served as Director of Photography for the feature-length documentary On the Way Home, a project that garnered significant recognition, premiering at the Slamdance Film Festival and winning the Charles E. Guggenheim Emerging Artist Award at Full Frame Doc Fest.
Josh's commercial portfolio includes work with high-profile global brands such as BMW, GE, Marc Jacobs, and Veuve Clicquot, shooting campaigns worldwide.
