- At his alma mater, Bradley University, Kyle completed a senior project that culminated into the creation of his first two short films called "The Shell" and "Distance". As Director, Producer, Writer, Editor, and Cinematographer for both shorts, as well as lead actor for "The Shell", his message behind the project was to grow out of his shell to go the distance.
- Formerly competed in artistic roller skating during his childhood, Kyle won two gold national medals in 2008 for Sophomore A Men's Freestyle and Figures.
