Netflix has canceled the horror-drama “Chambers” after one season, TheWrap has learned.
“Chambers will not return for a second season,” the streaming service said in a statement. “We’re grateful to creator and showrunner Leah Rachel for bringing this story to us and to her fellow executive producers Alfonso Gomez Rejon, Steve Gaghan from Super Emotional, Winnie Kemp and Wolfgang Hammer from Super Deluxe, and Jennifer Yale. We’re also thankful to the tireless crew, and to our incredible cast, especially Uma Thurman, Tony Goldwyn and talented newcomer Sivan Alyra Rose.”
Led by Tony Goldwyn and Uma Thurman, “Chambers” centered on a young heart attack survivor who becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life and her donor’s sudden death.

Ben Lefevre is no more and it’s pretty much all his fault. On the second-to-last episode of the first season of Netflix’s new horror series “Chambers,” Tony Goldwyn’s character is killed by his wife Nancy (Uma Thurman) when she discovers he led their teenage daughter Becky (Lilliya Scarlett Reid) to commit suicide by helping the cult The Annex resurrect the spirit of Adam’s first wife, Lilith, inside the girl.
TheWrap spoke with Goldwyn about the “tragic mistake” Ben made and how it set the entire series in motion, as Becky’s suicide led to Sasha (Sivan Alyra Rose) receiving both her heart and Lilith’s spirit, which is something he knew about the character from the very beginning. And that’s because “Chambers” creator Leah Rachel needed him to know what he was getting himself into.

A new horror series, Chambers, is now streaming on Netflix, which is exciting for a number of reasons. While it's not the same type of eerie familial horror that launched The Haunting of Hill House to near-instant success, it's still a solid, creepy story that only gets weirder with each subsequent episode. The series follows a teenage heart attack survivor, Sasha (Sivan Alyra Rose), who soon finds her life entangled with that of her heart donor's family in increasingly sinister ways. It won't take long before you have one question repeating over and over again in your mind: what, exactly, is wrong with Sasha's new heart?
Warning: Spoilers for season one of Chambers to follow, so proceed with caution!
The answer isn't black and white. To be blunt, there's a lot of stuff wrong with the organ, but everything comes down to the young, troubled woman whose life had to...

If you managed to make it through the first season of Netflix’s new horror series “Chambers” and come out the other side with all your mental facilities intact, then we are here to help you sort out anything you didn’t understand with a little help from the show’s creator herself, Leah Rachel.
Alright, let’s start with that Lilith twist at the very end, when it revealed Sasha (Sivan Alyra Rose) has been inhabited by the spirit of the first wife of Adam, after shoving out Becky’s (played by Lilliya Scarlett Reid) soul. Where the heck did that come from?
“Well, I think the theories in general with Sasha and her trying to figure out Becky and then the twist of Lilith is you’ve got this history of misunderstood women,” Rachel told TheWrap. “I always was intrigued,...

(Warning: This post contains mild spoilers through Episode 109 of “Chambers.”)
Netflix’s new horror series “Chambers” starts as a psychological thriller based on real-life fears and takes a sharp turn that leads its characters into the dark world of the supernatural. It also leads viewers down a path of confusion as they try to separate what’s fact and what’s fiction.
Tony Goldwyn, who stars on the Leah Rachel-created drama as Ben Lefevre, is particularly proud of how that dichotomy comes to a head in the episode he sat behind the camera for.
“The one I directed, which is the second-to-last one, No. 9 — that’s when things get really weird,” Goldwyn told TheWrap. “And there’s basically, most of that episode is Uma [Thurman] and Sivan [Alyra Rose] in a box, in one space. And so Leah had the idea of using the reflections, these images from Becky’s childhood, slide...

Leah Rachel will be the first to tell you her new Netflix series “Chambers” is “really weird.” She’ll probably also be the first to tell you it’s “really f–ked up.” And those self-aware descriptors are why she’s also the best person to explain how she landed two A-list actors to lead the cast of the streaming service’s upcoming twisted thriller: Uma Thurman and Tony Goldwyn.
“For somebody of Uma’s caliber, when we were casting Nancy, our casting director gave me the list of actresses that she had in mind for her and she had Uma Thurman’s name on it, and I think I laughed when I read it,” Rachel told TheWrap. “I was like, ‘Ok, yeah sure, we’ll see.’ And then she really responded to the script!”

Uma Thurman is up to no good in the trailer for Netflix’s upcoming supernatural horror series “Chambers.”
Thurman stars as Nancy Lefevre, a grieving mother whose daughter’s heart is donated to save another girl’s life. When Nancy and her husband offer the survivor, Sasha (Sivan Alyra Rose), a memorial scholarship in their daughter Becky’s (Lilliya Scarlett Reid) name, their intentions seem good — but soon Sasha is warned: “Watch out for that family.”
Per Netflix’s description: “A young heart attack survivor becomes consumed by the mystery surrounding the heart that saved her life. However, the closer she gets to uncovering the truth about her donor’s sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased — some of which are troublingly sinister.”
