Beth Moran is a Writer/Director based in West Sussex, England. She is best known for her award-winning short film "Missing a Note" (2019) and upcoming feature documentary "Everybody Flies" (2019). Beth started her career in documentary filmmaking before crossing over into drama with her directorial debut "Missing a Note".
"Missing a Note" was described by critics as a "deeply moving and heartfelt film" which touches on dementia in a "unique and sensitive way". For her work on "Missing a Note", Beth was nominated for "Best First Time Filmmaker" at Birmingham Film Festival (2019) and "Best New British Director" at Winchester Film Festival (2019). The film was also awarded "Best Debut UK Short Film" at the New Renaissance Film Festival London (2019) and "Best Young Female Actor" at Birmingham Film Festival (2019). It has since received several other nominations.
Beth lives and works in West Sussex and also holds a Private Pilot's License (PPL) after featuring in the TV documentary series "Learning to Fly" produced by Fact Not Fiction Films in 2018.
