In high school Sean picked up his Dad's 35mm film camera and fell in love with photography and the ability to capture a moment in time. This informed his transition into cinematography where he shot skate videos and eventually short films.
Sean taught Advanced Camera and Filmmaking Workshops at Portland Community Media for 3 years and has committed to learning what it means to be an ally for underrepresented voices in the industry. This is reflected in the Directors he collaborates with and the crew that he hires.
Sean grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and after living abroad in Seoul, South Korea, settled in Portland, Oregon to continue his career as a Cinematographer.
His photo series Night Vibes explores the emptiness of public spaces when the lights are still on but everyone has gone.
