The X Factor finally has its Top 12 - but while it's a very talented bunch, as always there are some acts that we're infuriated didn't make it through. You can make all your excuses - it was a really tough field, the judges could only pick so many, boo hoo - but that doesn't mean we're not going to pout our way through this week.
So if we'd had our way - or maybe if a wild card category suddenly popped up - which acts should definitely have gone through to the live shows?
1. Jennifer Phillips
We never really knew that we had to be worried about Jennifer's place in the competition after her rapturous performance of 'Shackles' in the auditions, which has become our go-to YouTube when we're feeling a bit blue. Of all the people that didn't make it through, Jennifer's exclusion stings the most. Perhaps Simon was...

The X Factor is well and truly under way, and we've been keeping an eye on everything that's been going on...
When is The X Factor on TV?
The show kicked off on August 29 - and in fact, in an attempt to avoid any clashes with Strictly Come Dancing, ITV bosses have unveiled the full schedule right from the off, so we know everything that's coming. You can get a proper look at it here, but auditions continued until Saturday, September 19 with Boot Camp kicking off on September 20. That was the first of five boot camp shows - two set in a country house, and then three episodes of the dreaded Six Chair Challenge. They were all on Sundays, to avoid the Rugby World Cup, but then Judges' Houses aired on October 24 and October 25... and the first big live show will kick off on October 31. And the grand final? 4th Impact, Alien Uncovered and Reggie n Bollie have been taken through to the Live Shows of The X Factor in Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's Groups category.
The new Judges' Houses format saw live eliminations for the first time tonight (October 24), and Cheryl dropped Melody Stone, Bekln Mile and New Kings Order.
After performing in a pre-recorded Judges' Houses in Rome, the judge took her three finalists through after appeals from the groups and other judges.
Simon Cowell made no comment, but Nick Grimshaw appealed for her to choose Reggie n Bollie and Bekln Mile, and Rita Ora went for Bekln Mile.
After choosing her three, Alien Uncovered said it was a "massive achievement", and Reggie n Bollie guaranteed they would "entertain you every weekend".

The X Factor reaches the Judges' Houses stage of the competition this weekend, and the Groups were lucky enough to head to Rome to perform for their mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and special guest judge Jess Glynne. If nothing else, it was a chance for them to get to grips with their new names:
1. 4th Impact
Formerly: 4th Power
Who are they? Mylene (23), Irene (25), Almira (27) and Celina (19) grew up singing and dancing together.
Their journey: 4th Impact - who travelled from the Philippines to audition - have been wowing the judges since their astonishing first audition, in which they covered 'Bang Bang'.
They say: "We are very fierce, energetic, powerful performers with angelic harmonies."

There have been some big changes on The X Factor this year - as every single one of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's Groups has a new name.
Reports had already revealed that standout group 4th Power had become 4th Impact after fears that their original name could prompt a copyright claim.
But the sisters from the Philippines aren't the only ones getting a new title, as Alien will become Alien Uncovered and Bekln are rebranding as Bekln Mile.
The X Factor quiz: 4th Power are now 4th Impact, but can you remember what Little Mix were called?
Perhaps the biggest change is for Silver Tone, who will now be known as Melody Stone, while The First Kings have been renamed New Kings Order.
Finally, the exuberant duo Menn On Point will now go by their first names, becoming simply Reggie n Bollie.

Never say The X Factor is always the same. Just last week, Nick Grimshaw was smugly grinning about how strong his category was - only to discover to his horror that the opposite was true. And last night, Simon Cowell was disgusted to be mentoring the Overs... only to find out that actually, they were full of talent.
The problem with Grimshaw's Six Chair Challenge was that with little talent on offer, at least at first, the stakes didn't feel too high - it was only when the (now reinstated) pantomime villain Mason Noise appeared that the drama level got ratcheted up.
It was a similar story with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, whose Groups were squeezed into the end of last week's episode and the beginning of Sunday's, with no real events to speak of (the closest we came was with Silver Tone and Bekln, connected by a brother and sister in...

The final Six Chair Challenge on The X Factor was suitably brutal and we're not sure we've quite recovered. Still, in amongst the in-out-in-out swapping chaos of it all were some seriously great performances, so read on for tonight's video round-up - ranked, as always, from worst to best:
The Groups
2. Bekln
'See You Again' - yes, we do hope so.
1. Silver Tone
A change definitely has come for Silver Tone.
The Overs
14. Holly Johnson
Not so Happy after Simon's rudeness, we're guessing.
13. Stephanie McCourt
We feel sorry for Stephanie - where was the audience's heart?
12. Tonatha Raihan
She might have been a safe bet, but Simon didn't want to take it.
11. Neneth Lyons
This just wasn't her moment in time.
10. Joseph McCaul
A shame Simon didn't show him more 'Mercy', really.
9. Zen Blythe
We're not going to pretend we didn't lose our zen when Zen got sent home.
8. Hannah Marie Kilminster...

It's probably fair that after a hellish experience at the X Factor Six Chair Challenge last year, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini had the easiest job when it came to choosing her Top 6 Groups - a few minor issues aside.
And now she's got a pretty strong category, from the gospel background of Silver Tone and Bekln to the pure pop of 4th Power and The First Kings and two unusual acts in Alien and Menn On Point.
But which group is your favourite? Who are you backing as they all head to Judges' Houses? And who do you want to see on the live shows each week? We want to know, so vote in our poll and leave your comments below to let us know everything you're thinking:

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini seemed very happy on The X Factor tonight after choosing her final six groups. She's certainly got a lot of variety with her acts, but who made it through?
1. 4th Power
Who? Mylene, Celina, Irene and Almira Cercado (19-27)
Remind me: These sisters from the Philippines blew everyone away with their outstanding performance of 'Bang Bang' in the auditions, with some insane notes and slick choreography. Sweet off stage and full of fire on it, they've been a dead cert for Judges' Houses ever since, keeping up their powerhouse performances at Boot Camp and the Six Chair Challenge. But because of copyright issues, expect them to be known from now on as 4th Impact.
2. Alien
Who? Madison Matic (19), Temple Angus (24), Shae Barry (23), Natalie Kassanga (18), Yasmin Crotch (22), Frank Arens (17)
Remind me: Alien are definitely not your typical girl band. They burst onto the auditions stage with a performance of 'Pump It',...

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini faced a tough decision this evening on The X Factor with one final swap to complete her groups category in the Six Chair Challenge.
The judge promised boy band Bekln a seat after their performance of 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth, Fernandez-Versini eventually deciding to drop girl group Rumour Has It.
Cowell told her beforehand to "protect the singers", with Fernandez-Versini saying that she wanted "reliability" in her category.
She then decided to swap Rumour Has It with Bekln, Cowell exclaiming "I mean seriously?"
However, Rita Ora showed approval for Fernandez-Versini's decision.
Earlier, the groups judge gave Silver Tone a seat too.
The final line up in the groups category is Menn On Point, Alien, Bekln, 4th Power, Silver Tone and The First Kings.
The X Factor is showing on ITV now.

After three weeks of chair-swapping drama, the Six Chair Challenge finally concludes this evening. All that's left is for Cheryl to finish choosing her groups and then for Simon to tackle the Overs category.
Throughout the competition Simon has been less than enthusiastic about mentoring the Overs, and according to what we've heard, he's still pretty grumpy this evening. So we're sure that all the chair-swapping's going to be as brutal as ever.
Join us from 7pm and we'll bring you all the action live as it happens, including performances from some of our favourites such as lovely Anton and Bupsi. Enjoy!

The X Factor's brutal Six Chair Challenge is almost over! All that remains is for Cheryl to finish whittling down her Groups and for Simon Cowell to tackle the tricky task of choosing his Top 6 Overs. Of course, it's not that simple...
1. All of the six seats are taken by Groups when the episode begins, but there are still two acts left waiting to perform... and they just so happen to be Silver Tone and Bekln. You know, the two groups from the London Community Gospel Choir - with a brother in Bekln and his sister in Silver Tone. Gulp.
2. Simon Cowell apologises to the Overs for his "lack of enthusiasm" when he found out he'd be mentoring them... but then tells the other judges: "I can't believe I've been stuck with this category." (One poor act just has to walk on stage for Cowell to mumble: "Why am...

Who got through? Everyone except Ryan Ruckledge
Group vibe: Four people just trying to get on with their lives while someone drunkenly slut drops around them, basically.
