“Let’s Fucking Go.”
Tom Brady’s notorious catchphrase (“Lfg” is the PG version) was how Fox chose to end its upfront presentation Monday evening, with Brady on stage joined by his Fox NFL colleague Michael Strahan, and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay (also known for using the F word), shouting it to the rafters.
Brady, who retired officially last year, confirmed that he will indeed join the Fox NFL broadcast booth this fall, working as an analyst alongside play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt and reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi.
Brady was the closing event for the upfront, appearing a week after his Netflix roast made global headlines (fellow roaster and Fox personality Rob Gronkowski was also in attendance).
Brady, speaking to Strahan on stage, said the decision to follow through on his deal two years ago to join Fox after he retired was a “no brainer.”

Fox Sports is betting big on MLB analyst Alex Rodriguez.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the 14-time MLB all star and World Series champion is closing in on a contract extension with Fox Sports, a deal that if completed will keep him working big MLB games for Fox for years to come.
Rodriguez is a critical piece of Fox’s MLB on Fox studio team, working alongside host Kevin Burkhardt, 10-time all star and three-time world champion David Ortiz (“Big Papi”), as well as 14-time all star and 5-time world champion Derek Jeter, who previously played with Rodriguez on the New York Yankees.
Terms of the new Fox deal were not immediately clear, though it is believed to be the most lucrative deal yet for an MLB analyst, with a term of more than three years.

“No, you didn’t sit on the remote. But on Super Bowl Sunday, we fooled audiences into thinking they did.”
With that caption on the YouTube version of their “Interface Interruption” Super Bowl Sunday commercial (above), Tubi took a small victory lap after many viewers of the Big Game were led to believe that someone/something had called up their TV’s navigation menu and switched over from Fox Sports announcers Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen to the free, ad-supported streaming (Fast)/AVOD service.

Tubi pulled a Fast one on Super Bowl viewers on Sunday night.
Tubi, the free, ad-supported streaming television (Fast) service, ran a clever trompe l’oeil ad that made it look as if viewers’ TVs were changing the channel right in the middle of the climactic end of the Eagles-Chiefs game.
The 15-second spot, which ran in the fourth quarter of Fox’s Super Bowl Lvii telecast, starts by throwing back to the game’s announcing duo of Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen. (Tubi is owned by Fox Corp.)
As Burkhardt and Olsen banter in generalities about the game, an unseen hand pulls up a Tubi on-demand menu on the TV — and after a couple of audible blips, selects “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” the 2005 movie starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, before the Tubi logo flashes on the screen.
The jarring ad left many viewers confused — and angry.

The streaming service Tubi had everyone questioning where their TV remotes were when its 2023 Super Bowl ad aired Sunday.
In the 15-second spot, it appeared that the Super Bowl Lvii broadcast returned from a commercial break with Fox Sports announcers, Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen. But suddenly, it seemed like the screen had been taken over by someone scrolling over to the Tubi TV app and searching through the streaming services’ library for something to watch.
In the video’s caption on YouTube, Tubi wrote, “No, you didn’t sit on the remote. But on Super Bowl Sunday, we fooled audiences into thinking they did.”
The commercial, called “Interface Interruption,” also picked up some buzz on social media with people sharing their reactions. One person tweeted, “Tubi got some people yelling at people on the couch for sure.” Another person wrote, “Tubi commercial had me thinking I sat on the remote.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles players (who were unavailable at press time) won’t be the only ones with nerves once the opening kickoff signals the start of the big game at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium in Glendale. Fox Sports’ NFL lead analyst Greg Olsen (above left) and play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt (above right) are Super Bowl-announcing rookies. The pair will be the main voices you hear during Super Bowl Lvii on Sunday, February 12 (starting at 6:30/5:30c). Here, they share how they’re prepping for game day. Constructive feedback is always important between friends. Rob Gronkowski has a few notes for Tom Brady regarding his recent underwear-clad thirst trap selfie.
Speaking with Et at Fox’s Sports Day, Gronkowski responded to Brady’s revealing pic, and admitted, “I don’t think he did it right… his hand is not in the right place.”
“He’s covering up a little bit. You’re not supposed to be covering up! That’s what’s supposed to be showing,” he added with a laugh. “You gotta show the package, Tom.”

The biggest day on the football calendar is almost upon us.
This Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl Lvii at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The championship game promises to be one of the most exciting Super Bowl matchups in recent memory, pitting the No. 1 overall seed in both conferences against each other. The Eagles have arguably been the most complete team in the NFL this season, dominating both sides of the ball thanks to their stellar defense, unstoppable offensive line, and elite quarterback play from Jalen Hurts. But if there’s one thing that NFL fans have learned over the past five years, it’s to never bet against Patrick Mahomes. The endlessly creative Chiefs quarterback has powered through every setback, from injuries to seemingly expiring clocks, to keep the Chiefs in games long after they were written off.

Football legend Tom Brady plans to start his sportscasting duties for Fox in the fall of 2024, the retired athlete revealed during an interview Monday of Fox Sports 1.
Brady’s arrival had previously been uncertain, particularly after he announced his retirement at the end of the NFL’s 2022 season, then reneged.
He is expected to call NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt, the Fox Sports announcer whose role was recently elevated after the exit of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.
Brady “will not only call our biggest NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt, but will also serve as an ambassador for us, particularly with respect to client and promotional initiatives,” Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch told investors in May of last year.

Amazon’s Prime Video is one of the lions of the streaming business, with a shelf of awards, a multibillion-dollar advertising operation and reach to 80 million U.S. households to show for its efforts.
This Thursday, however, will mark perhaps the biggest milestone yet in Prime Video’s 15-year run, as it will deliver an exclusive stream of an NFL game for the first time. The contest between the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers is a preseason affair, so the stakes for the teams and fans are not exactly high. That regular-season matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs will be the first of 15 a year on Prime over the next 11 years. Amazon...
