Alex (Jyn-Li) Cairns is a multi-medium storyteller based out Toronto, ON. She holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from York University, graduating from the prestigious Acting Conservatory and a certificate in Broadcasting - Radio and Contemporary Media from Durham College.
Since 2017, Alex has been working in the entertainment industry as an actor, voiceover artist, director, editor and producer. She has worked with clients such as Hallmark Channel, Netflix, Rogers, McDonalds, RBC and adidas in a variety of roles. After completing a seven-week internship with The Shift with Kayla Grey at TSN, she was hired as a full-time freelancer and has been working there since April 2022.
Alex's background and training in theatre and film informs her creative endeavours in broadcasting. With an ease on camera, in front of the mic, or behind the scenes, Alex enjoys bringing stories to life in a variety of mediums. She is passionate about sharing truthful stories and building meaningful collaborations that lend to shining some light into the world.
In her spare time, Alex can be found cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, perfecting her Instant Pot recipes, or working on her latest 1000 piece puzzle with her partner.
