![Tashi is a completely independent, self funded, small budget bilingual feature in English and Hindi, shot entirely in Singapore, and co-produced from Singapore and India. It is written, directed and produced by award-winning film maker Shilpa Krishnan Shukla, whose previous film "Pularum Iniyum Naalekal" / "There's Always Tomorrow" went to 33 film festivals worldwide and received 17 awards. Shilpa, who is also a full time marketing director as well as a mom, pursues filmmaking as a passionate hobby. This is her third feature film. The film was shot over the span of 8 days, by a 10-member team that included 5 cast and 5 crew, and made within a total production budget of $25K. The bulk of the post production was done virtually across Singapore and India. "Tashi" explores various facets of life, with a focus on the simple story telling about the delicate relationships between parents and their children, between siblings, between spouses as well as between strangers. The name of the film, Tashi, is inspired by the Tibetan word, meaning 'auspiciousness'.](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BNjMzYWU5MGItYzRmMi00OWMxLTk3YTMtYjdmNzdmMTViZDRlXkEyXkFqcGdeQXRyYW5zY29kZS13b3JrZmxvdw@@._V1_QL75_UX500_CR0,0,500,281_.jpg)
