Jerry Jerome was born in Port Arthur, Texas. He earned a B.S in Computer Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and a M.S in Computer Engineering from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. In 2014, he moved to Atlanta to begin his professional career as a project manager at a major telecommunications company.
In 2016, he was laid off; then he decided to pursue his passions in film and transform himself into a director, writer, and actor. He began writing and directing his own short films to develop in his craft.
Later, he wrote his debut feature screenplay, Gold Rush, which placed as a quarter-finalist in ScreenCraft's 2022 Drama Competition and worked on several indie projects. He trained as an actor under Thom Scott II, studying Meisner technique and booked his first lead role in a stage play.
