- George Zouvelos is a 6'4" versatile actor that blends his ethnically ambiguous appearance with his lifelong street credits and a careful study and an authentic emulation of human nature. His acting studies included the Stanislavsky method via Meisner, Adler, and attending the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York City. His studies have also included emotional techniques study of Chubbuck and Hagen. George maintains the ability to perform several accents besides US English and New Yorkese including, Greek, Italian, Arabic, Jewish and Slavic. This combination of acting studies, personal attributes, and work experiences, which include formerly being in law enforcement and as a New York City Paramedic, have led to an authentically intense style of George's acting performances.
Besides his acting, screenwriting and directing, George is active in the entertainment industry as a member and Judge at the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences; a member of the American Film Institute AFI, and a member of the New York Women in Film and Television NYWIFT. His philanthropic work includes over three decades in the New York leadership of AHEPA that was founded in 1921 and with a focus on Civil rights to combat discrimination. George is an advocate for 'equal work for equal pay' for equal skills and capabilities, and irrespective of gender.
He has a bachelor's degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and his Filmmaking Diploma from the New York Film Academy.
George was born into and baptized a Greek Orthodox Christian. He was raised in a traditional Hellenic Greek family that originally hails from the historic and highest's peaks of Sparta and Arcadia that are located in the Morea, Peloponnese Regions of Greece.
