Starring Jayam Ravi the lead, the film also has Nivetha Pethuraj of Oru Naal Koothu fame, popular Singaporean actor Aaron Aziz, Arjunan Nandakumar, Jayaprakash, Ramesh Thilak and Jayam Ravi’s son Aarav playing important roles. This film will mark Aarav’s film debut. Touted to be India’s first space thriller, the film is being produced by V Hitesh Jhabak and was in production for a year from October 2016 to October 2017. The film’s title track 'Kurumba' composed by D Imman and performed by Sid Sriram, was released in December last year. The film’s soundtrack was later released in January 2018. Venkatesh S has worked on the film’s cinematography with Pradeep E Ragav on editing and SS Moorthy on art design. D Imman was roped in for the film’s music and soundtrack. Directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan of Naanayam and Naaigal Jaakirathai fame, the film was initially slated for release on Republic Day this year but had to be pushed due to the Tfpc strike. Director Shakti Soundar Rajan has previously collaborated with Jayam Ravi in Miruthan. Released in 2016, the film was promoted to be the first zombie apocalypse film to be made in Tamil or Telugu. Jayam Ravi was last seen in Al Vijay’s Vanamagan. His Thani Oruvan that came out in 2015 won him several nominations and awards. Sri Thenandal Films have acquired distribution rights for the film. Interestingly, Kamal Haasan’s 1981 thriller was also called Tik Tik Tik.
