Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… We’ve got stories continuing from the Royal Rumble And a build Elimination Chamber so let’s get into it!
Match #1: Damian Priest def. Angelo Dawkins The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Before the match, WWE Official Adam Pearce ordered everyone surrounding the ring to go to the backstage area, allowing this match to be contested one-on-one. In the early goings, Angelo Dawkins threw Damian Priest over the announce table, proving he meant business in this Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match. Priest bounced back fairly quickly, hitting a Broken Arrow followed by a Bell Clap. Dawkins gave it his all, hitting a superb Swanton Bomb but could only achieve a two-count. Priest grabbed the victory with a South of Heaven to make the Elimination Chamber even more judgmental than it already was.

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque touched on the success of the company’s original programming during Thursday’s Q4 investors call, including the recently debuted local-language series Contra Las Cuerdas.
The Spanish-language series, which is executive produced by WWE Studios, debuted on Netflix globally on January 25. It follows a young mother who enters the wrestling ring in the arenas of Mexico to regain the affection of her lucha libre-loving daughter after being in prison.
“Strong content is the bedrock of this company and drives our business,” Levesque said during the call, citing several data points from Parrot Analytics.
Since its debut, the scripted comedy has become the third-most in demand show in Mexico, according to data from Parrot. It’s also currently sitting in second place on Netflix’s Top 10 in Mexico. The streamer doesn’t give viewing data by country, so exact numbers are unavailable.

Match #1: Men’s Royal Rumble – Winner: Cody Rhodes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Before the match started, the surprises had already begun as Pat McAfee made his return to commentary, delightfully shocking Michael Cole. Fight Night kicked off the Men’s Rumble as Intercontinental Champion Gunther and his fierce rival Sheamus entered at No. 1 and 2, respectively. Not long after Sheamus scored the first elimination by Brogue Kicking The Miz (No. 3) into oblivion, he formed a match-long alliance with his good friend Drew McIntyre after The Scottish Warrior entered at No. 9. McIntyre got payback on Karrion Kross (No.

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, the First Raw of 2023, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down this week and see how it bodes for the year ahead!
Match #1: Bianca Belair def. Alexa Bliss (Dq) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Bianca Belair put her Raw Women’s Championship on the line in a very tough title showdown against Alexa Bliss. When the action moved outside the ring, Bliss spotted two different Uncle Howdy faces in the crowd. Moments later, the TitanTron began to flicker, and Bliss to became unhinged and lost control. After attacking the official in the ring, the incensed Superstar went ballistic on The Est of WWE and delivered two brutal DDTs to her onto the steel ring steps.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Solo Sikoa def. Elias The following is courtesy of wwe.

WWE superstar Bianca Belair poses for a series of selfies on Instagram. Pic credit: @biancabelairwwe/Instagram
WWE superstar Bianca Belair recently shared a group of stunning throwback images featuring herself and husband Montez Ford as they enjoyed some time together on the beach.
In the collection of images, the WWE Raw Women’s Champion wears a gorgeous black bikini and hoop earrings, with her hair flowing down rather than rocking the long braid fans see her with when she’s in the ring.
Bianca’s solid black two-piece swimsuit features metal hardware for parts of the unique design, including a gold zipper on the bikini bottoms and a stylish belt under her top. In addition to the hoop earrings, additional images show her wearing several necklaces.
Montez wears a pair of black trunks to match his wife and has on an eye-catching thick chain necklace as an accessory for his look.

Match #1: The Judgment Day def. Aj Styles & Dolph Ziggler The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Aj Styles joined forces with Dolph Ziggler against their mutual adversaries, The Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor and Damian Priest. At a key moment, the official was out of place as The Showoff attempted to pin Priest. This cost Ziggler crucial seconds and allowed Priest to pick up the win with South of Heaven.

Match #1: Seth “Freakin” Rollins def. Angelo Dawkins The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
One week after Montez Ford valiantly fought The Visionary, Ford’s partner Angelo Dawkins got the chance to shut up Seth “Freakin” Rollins for good. After the match last week, Rollins tried to put Ford on the shelf wiht a post-match Stomp, but Dawkins came chase him away. Dawkins started off hot, nailing Rollins with a pounce on the outside of the ring. After Rollins mocked Ford, who was at ringside, Ford brought a steel chair to the ring, but Ford was thrown out by the official, giving Rollins an extra edge. Perhaps motivated by the ejection of Ford, Dawkins hit a Silencer on...

Aj Styles overcame Mustafa Ali and The Miz in an ultra-fast slugfest. Seconds after Ali hit Miz with the 450 Splash, The Phenomenal One used Ali’s momentum to grab him and execute the Styles Clash for the three-count. The win earned Styles the right to compete for a United States Championship opportunity later in the evening.

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. This is the first of a new era for WWE following the retirement of Vince McMahon… Of course we won’t see changes straight away but let’s see what happened this week.
Match #1: Ludwig Kaiser def. Shinsuke Nakamura The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Two weeks after Ludwig Kaiser was left with bruises on his chest from Gunther’s vicious chops due to his loss against The King of Strong Style, Kaiser battled Nakamura once more. Nakamura kept control in the early going before Kaiser took advantage of his surroundings, sending Nakamura into the ring steps outside. Nakamura regained the upper hand until Gunther got involved, striking Nakamura while the referee’s back was turned, which gave Kaiser the chance to snatch the victory. After the match, Kaiser was...

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE Raw, the company’s flagship show which this week follows one of the worst episodes of Smackdown I’ve seen in some time. And yes, that’s exactly what I said last week but the same applies to this week! Let’s see what this show has to offer…
Match #1: Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair def. Carmella The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The margin of error could not have been tighter for this encounter as Carmella could win the Raw Women’s Championship via pinfall, submission or count out. A perennial thorn in the side of The Est of WWE, Becky Lynch made her presence felt before the match laying out the champion with a Manhandle Slam. Lynch scouted her competition from the announce table, as it was announced that the winner would face her at SummerSlam for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Especially in light of Survivor Series’ struggle to maintain its identity, that it has earned over the years, as one of the Big Four PPVs (or PLEs nowadays), many have argued that Money in the Bank has become the new 4th biggest event in WWE’s calendar year. The choices made on this night do have – and have had – major implications for WWE storylines going forward. So, with this in mind, and with the shadow of SummerSlam looming at month’s end, we get a sense of where we are heading here into WWEs peak summer season. So how did things pan out? Let’s find out…
The show opens with a video package dwelling on the whole concept, you know the drill by now.

With names like Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura, Aj Styles, The Miz, Veer Mahaan and Riddle in the 20-man field, the action was thick and fast, and the eliminations were quick and swift. These days, it’s hard to fill three hours of (mostly) live programming every week. WWE’s “Raw” has turned to its rookie tag team champions, the Street Profits, led by the charismatic Montez Ford, to keep audiences engaged for 180 minutes each Monday.
Viewers’ cups have runneth over as former U.S. marine Ford (real name Kenneth Crawford) runs his mouth and frog splashes opponents from heights air traffic controllers generally monitor.
While he and pro-wrestling partner Angelo Dawkins continue to dish out L’s in the ring, they’re also being used these days in comedic vignettes with rival tag team The Viking Raiders. To date, the two squads have competed outside the squared circle in basketball and golf. Tonight, they’ll head to the bowling alley.
TheWrap chatted with Ford last week, before he traded in his kicks for gross rental shoes. Read a portion of our Q&a below.
