It’s official: Stranger Things is coming back for a third season.
On Friday, Netflix announced that the hit series has been renewed for another installment of the Duffer Brothers’ ongoing saga about the residents of Hawkins, Indiana, and the unexpected emergence of an upside down world.
Going into season two, the creators revealed they had plans to continue the series with two more seasons, likely ending after four. Despite the revelations made to Vultureat the time, Netflix remained mum of any official details or confirmation of a new season.

Episode 3, “Whispers,” follows Max (Craig Robinson) and Leroy (Adam Scott) as the newly partnered duo are sent to Las Vegas for a case with paranormal pedigree. It’s a big case, and the two fresh investigators need to keep their track record clean if they want to stay on the job.

Playing matchmaker! Elizabeth Banks visited The Tonight Show on Thursday, where she brought up the fact that she and Jimmy Fallon have been trying to set their kids up.
Fallon is dad to 3-year-old Winnie and 2-year-old Frances, while Banks is mom to 5-year-old Felix and 4-year-old Max. Though their proud parents thought the kids would be a good match, Banks’ boys had some questions for Fallon’s girls first.
