Barbarie A. Wise

Barbarie A. Jones is an American film producer, screenwriter and author. She was born on June 1, 1974 in Tazewell, Tennessee and grew up in Dandridge, Tennessee. Her birth name is Barbarie Allen Wise and known to most as Barbie. She was born to James Edward Wise, I, a diesel mechanic and Foreman, and Mildred H. Wise (Moyers) a CDM in health care. She is the youngest of three children. Her siblings are Janet G. Wise and James E. Wise, II. She is also related to the late country music singer, Roy Acuff.
Her sister, Janet Gail Wise, was born April 6, 1964 and died October 5, 1978 at the age of fourteen (14) as the result of an automobile accident, along with two of her young her friends. They were hit head-on by a drunken driver. Her father, James E. Wise, I, passed away on September 6, 2006 after a long battle with kidney disease. Her mother continues to reside in East Tennessee and is now re-married. She has four children from a previous marriage; Brooklyn, Candace, Cole and Lance. She has four grandchildren, Aubri, Cassandra, Alleigha and Daniel.
Barbarie attended Jefferson County High School in Dandridge, Tennessee. She quit school in April 1991, her junior year, to care for her father. He had suffered cardiac arrest and was revived at Fort Sander's Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, and required a five (5) by-pass cardiac surgery. She cared for him while her mother continued to work to support the family during this time. She obtained her GED at Walters State Community College later that summer. She attended college in Scranton, Pennsylvania where she received her Paralegal in May , 1997. She also attended Walters State Community College and became a licensed Emergency Medical Technician with Intravenous Therapy in January, 2001. She also attended the bachelors program at Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee with a concentration in Psychology. She was appointed a Municipal Court Judge by the Mayor and Board of Alderman in August 2001 in Hawkins County, Tennessee.
