Jeremy Loveman

Jeremy Loveman, born in Newfoundland, is a Mi'kmaw First Nations writer and a member of Eskasoni. As an Indigenous person, Jeremy is a natural born storyteller, with his culture being the cornerstone of his creative spirit. Jeremy is an alumnus of Reelworld's emerging E20 program. He trades commodities for a living, though in recent years he has seized every opportunity to pursue his true passion of scriptwriting. Over the past several years he has been able to develop his writing skills through professional development seminars and one on one mentorships with industry professionals such as Steve Cochrane and Dr. Stuart McBratney. These workshops have been instrumental in his growth as a writer. Jeremy approaches topics that will resonate and spark conversation with viewers and explores themes that have a deep-rooted meaning to him, such as assimilation, mental health, and culture.
Jeremy has been residing in Newfoundland for 30 years. He has recently had his project, Wendigo, optioned with Prodigy Pictures, and is currently in development with his co-creator, Steve Cochrane, on their project, Big Falls.
