- The first band to be broadcast on the internet from Xerox PARC on 24 June 1993, with core members Russ Haines of Digital Equipment on guitar and vocals, Mark Manasse of Digital Equipment on guitar and vocals, Steve Rubin of Apple Computer on vocals, and Mark D. Weiser of Xerox on drums.
- Was the "opening act" for the first internet broadcast by The Rolling Stones on 18 November 1994. When the Stones discovered Severe Tire Damage had preceded their own internet debut by over a year, their announcement was changed to "the first Internet concert with a 'major' band".
