The Victorian police has kicked off a recruitment drive to find officers to patrol the state’s train stations.
The campaign, which the Herald Sun is reporting is backed by $2.7m in media spend, is running on TV, radio, the internet, outdoor and in newspapers.
The recruitment initiative will help make train stations ”places of safety rather than places of fear”, Victorian premier Ted Baillieu was quoted as saying.
The ad’s narrator says: “If you can see yourself as a protective services officer, Victoria police is recruiting now,” with the tagline: ‘Are you ready to stand out?’
The campaign is backed by activity on Facebook and Twitter.
