The phrase “water-cooler TV show” may have already sounded old fashioned long before workers began fleeing their offices in the early days of the pandemic, but the meaning of the term remains alive and well with countless fans discussing, debating, arguing about and bonding over their favorite shows online. Rather than gathering around the break room vending machine to chat about the previous night’s shocking twists, social media is the new meeting place where fan theories are traded back and forth. The problem is, it’s hard to go into serious detail or capture the true essence of a complex TV show in a measly 280-character tweet.
Perhaps that’s why TV podcasts have become so wildly popular over the past few years. Instead of boiling down an emotionally devastating episode of “Mare of Easttown” or a mind-bending hour of “Squid Game” in a handful of words, a well-produced...

Former “Bachelor” star Colton Underwood came out as gay in an emotional interview on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, a revelation that sent shockwaves throughout the “Bachelor” fandom.
“I’ve ran from myself for a long time and I’ve hated myself for a long time, and I’m gay. I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it,” Underwood said in the interview with Robin Roberts. “The next step in all of this was sort of letting people know. I’m still nervous, but it’s been a journey for sure.”
Underwood starred on the 23rd season of “The Bachelor” in 2019, having previously appeared on “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise.” The former professional football player’s decision to remain a virgin was a core part of the narrative throughout all of his appearances to his final rose ceremony. Seventeen years after launching an aggressive charm offensive to convince the American public that romance can be won and lost, “The Bachelor” franchise has finally been forced to acknowledge that love isn’t always as simple as “boy meets girl” or “Cinderella story meets opportunistic producer.” Instead, this season of “Bachelor in Paradise” has made history with Demi, a contestant who found herself torn between the man she was falling for on the show and the woman she had been dating at home. It’s notable and wonderful that “Bachelor in Paradise” didn’t sensationalize Demi’s sexuality (and that it affords her more time and consideration than it did bisexual+ contestant Jaimi King in 2017), but her dilemma’s also an unavoidable aberration from the show’s usual formula. Like it or not, she’s been tasked with the unenviable job of educating the heterosexual masses about what it means...

Demi Burnett won't let a few critics stand get in the way of her journey to finding love. A sneak peek at the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise revealed Demi actually embarks on a relationship with another woman, in what will mark the reality TV franchise's first same-sex romance. While Demi is not technically the first openly queer contestant (that title goes to Jaimi King of Bachelor in Paradise Season 4), she's already being forced to take on internet trolls. The 24-year-old reposted several derogatory messages she's received since coming out a "queer queen" on social media, including those from individuals who say they plan to boycott this season...

It’s been a hell of a summer for the beautiful, brainless castaways of ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise, and Monday’s grand finale — a true feels-fest if ever there was one — saved some of the biggest surprises for last.
The evening began with host Chris Harrison addressing the remaining couples, first reflecting on the “great summer” they’ve all had — you know, assuming you can overlook that whole sexual misconduct scandal — then reminding them that their stay in Paradise was about to end. It was time to make some decisions about their romantic futures.

All is fair in love and volleyball.
The Bachelor Season 21 Episode 6 brought us to St. Thomas, but a lot of the women leave the island before it ends. But before we get to that, we have loose ends to tie up in New Orleans.
The girls weren't surprised when Taylor's suitcase was picked up by production, but you know they're secretly hoping they take Corinne's bag, too.
Meanwhile, Taylor escaped from the Bayou to confront Nick. She probably used a voodoo doll to convince production to give her a ride.
She told him that Corinne has "flat out lied" and tried to make her seem like a "bully." Nick didn't seem interested in hearing Taylor's side of the story, but made sure she knew he "appreciates" her trying.
I want you to open your eyeballs because I'm not the only one saying this about Corinne.

A Tearful Nick Viall Doesn’t Know If He Can ‘Keep Doing This’ After 3 Shocking Bachelor Eliminations
Let’s just admit it: This season of The Bachelor was starting to get boring. Corinne’s antics, as entertaining as they are, can only carry us through so many episodes, and we needed some new developments to keep our interest piqued. Well, luckily for us, the Bachelor gods heard our prayers and this week, they delivered.

Hey guys! We’re back where we left off with Corinne and Taylor confronting one another at the rose ceremony. To back up a little, let me just state the obvious: This is an environment that is filled with all personality types, so of course it is unrealistic that everyone will get along.

Goodbye Wisconsin, and hello New Orleans.
The Bachelor Season 21 Episode 5 took us to a new location, but the drama was the same.
Taylor and Corinne are still arguing about who is more mature, which kind of says it all. I mean, nothing says maturity like getting into a fight on The Bachelor, right?
They are also having a hard time agreeing on a definition for "emotional intelligence," which again, I think says it all.
What does that say about your emotional intelligence, bitch?

Don't forget that Taylor is a mental health counselor. I hope her patients aren't watching.
Corinne goes to Nick and tells him that Taylor is rude and all of the girls think so too. Normally it doesn't work when one of the girls complains about someone else, but this is Corinne's world and...

Bachelor nation, rejoice: It’s the week of the dreaded two-on-one date. Well, dreaded for the contestants, highly entertaining for us. Even more exciting? Our girl Corinne‘s on it … but we’ll get to that in a bit.
Rose Ceremony
We picked up where we left off last week, with the Great Emotional Intelligence Debate of 2017 and Corinne threatening to punch Taylor in the face. Taylor told Corinne that multiple women in the house have questioned her maturity, and Corinne was like: Fine, but maturity is different than emotional intelligence, Ha! (Is it different though? Methinks not.)

Hey guys, so we’re back this week and coming off a pretty honest conversation with Vanessa. The pool party had been going great, but clearly took a turn when the women saw Corinne and me in the bounce castle.
It is disappointing to hear so many of the women question Corinne.

It's not an episode of Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor without a couple of teats, right?
The raciest season of the ABC dating show continued on Monday, when the girls headed to Nick's hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin -- where yes, they handled a few teats.
Exclusive: 'Bachelor' Star Corinne's Mom Defends Her Daughter's Promiscuous Behavior, Addresses Those Engagement Rumors!
Before Nick and the girls got to milking some cows, however, the 36-year-old businessman had to meet up with his parents for some good old fashion mid-west advice: "We don't want to see you on the show again," Nick's dad, Christopher, said.
After Christopher's A+ tip, Nick was ready to take on the week and continue his search for love, starting with a one-on-one date with Danielle L. The two strolled around the town (Nick boasted about getting dumped at age 11, and pointed out all his make-out spots) made cookies with their faces on...

Happy Monday, guys. We’re back with another episode of The Bachelor, and if you’re getting tired of hearing about Corinne … well, sorry. Her and her corn metaphors are the most entertaining thing we’ve got this season.
Pool Party/Rose Ceremony
We picked up where we left off last week with all the women complaining because Corinne straddled Nick in a bouncy house during the pool party. Vanessa, a.k.a. our queen, threatened to give back her rose but Nick asked her to try to “be a little more patient” about him hooking up with other women and somehow that line worked.

Another week of The Bachelor, another topless Corinne moment. Happy Monday, guys.
Last week’s episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Nick Viall deciding to eliminate Liz — a contestant he’d previously had a one-night stand with months before — in the middle of a group date. Instead of showing us what went down during the rest of the date, this week’s episode jumped right into the women catching each other up on the Liz drama back at the house as they got ready for the cocktail party that night.

It's Corinne's world, we just live in it. And beg for roses.
On The Bachelor Season 21 Episode 2, the competition for Nick's attention heated up, and it's time to breakdown all three dates.
It's only been one night and all of the women are already in love with Nick, so we're right on track. Also, it will never be normal to watch 22 women gush over being interested in the same man.
When Chris Harrison told the group that not all of them were going to have time with Nick this week, their faces dropped like he just told them Nick was terminally ill.
I’ve never been a bridesmaid. I think I’m just a natural born bride.

This season of The Bachelor kicked off with a bang on Monday night — but turns out the premiere drama was just the tip of the iceberg.
In an extended trailer for the rest of the season that aired at the end of Monday’s episode, Nick Viall goes through quite the emotional (and physical) roller coaster with the women — but he’s determined to find love.
“Everything has led to this moment,” he says in the trailer. “So that I can prove to America that if you don’t give up on love, eventually you’ll find it.”
