Reed Robertson(II)
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
- Set Decorator
- Additional Crew
Born in Denver, Colo., Reed had an interest in film from a young age and began by emulating the movies he loved to watch; first, with Claymation, i-Stop Motion, and animated shorts for himself. He experimented with live-action and found a talent for editing. He made a few short movies and music videos during high school, eventually interning at MilkHaus, a renowned Denver post-production studio.
After graduating high school, he attended Lawrence University, Appleton, WI., and Metropolitan State University in Denver, CO. He paused his education to work as a production assistant for various Denver film and TV productions, including Help Wanted (feature film), Top Chef, and Elevator Pitch (TV). He also worked in different freelance positions for a video production company, Craftsy, purchased by NBC and relocated to New York City as BluPrint.
Eager for a more detailed and focused approach to learning film production, he attended Vancouver Film School in Vancouver, B.C., studying all aspects of production, specializing in directing and editing. At VFS, he participated in numerous short films, music videos, and television series, including film festival nominee Hermanas and film festival winners Faceless and Shadowlands. He worked in every position in filmmaking, including writing and directing his own short, Delta. After graduating from VFS, and upon Canadian dual citizenship approval, he has worked on various production crews, including with Reel One Entertainment.
