Match #1: Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal Match – Iyo Sky def. Shayna Baszler The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
A renewal of an epic rivalry highlighted this Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal clash between Shayna Baszler and former WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky. Sky took out Baszler’s knee before hitting a superb moonsault from the the top rope onto Baszler outside the ring. Baszler looked to have Sky fading in the Kirifuda Clutch, but Sky booked her ticket to the semifinals after hitting the Over the Moonsault, somehow surviving the punishment of Baszler.

A flurry of offense culminated with Bianca Belair hitting Dakota Kai with the K.O.D. to pick up the victory for her team. Although issues between The Est of WWE and Bayley were still evident, the showdown was an exciting prelude to the WWE Women’s Title Triple Threat Match and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match at Backlash France.

Match #1: 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal – Winner: “Big” Bronson Reed The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
“Big” Bronson Reed etched his name in history as he won the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in thrilling fashion. Omos looked like the early favorite as he tossed out Kit Wilson, prompting Elton Prince to voluntarily eliminate himself to join his Pretty Deadly partner and avoid the wrath of The Nigerian Giant. As the field dwindled, Ricochet was poised to take control, but he was shockingly eliminated by Jd McDonagh, who was then promptly superkicked over the top rope by Akira Tozawa. Tozawa, Reed, Ivar and Otis were the final four Superstars, and the Aussie giant stood tall after eliminating the Viking Raider.

Apart from the thrilling matches at WWE, the wrestling industry has often made headlines for lacking female referees, until Jessika Carr made her debut in 2019 during SmackDown. Being the first full-time female referee, Carr has been working with WWE for a long time.

However, despite her unbiased judgment and help, she seems to lack her deserving credit. Take the recent example of WrestleMania 40 when a few fans noticed Jessica Carr helping Damian Priest during the Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match. Apparently, Carr saved Priest from a scary botch by informing him about his ladder. And yet, rarely anyone offered Carr the credit for helping.
Jessica Carr Went Unnoticed Despite Saving Damian Priest
Making her debut in 2019 during Friday Night SmackDown, Jessica Carr became WWE’s first full-time female referee. Ever since then she has been appearing during several matches and dedicating herself to the wrestling universe.

We were lucky enough to be in attendance for the Smackdown taping in Philadelphia. The taping happened at the Wells Fargo Center which is directly across the street from Lincoln Financial Field which will be hosting WrestleMania 40 over the weekend.
Ko Show
The opening of the show saw Kevin Owens host his Ko show with guest Randy Orton. Logan Paul who they both face in a triple threat match on Sunday. Paul mocked them from across the street the site of WrestleMania which led to a comedic chase around both Wells Fargo and the Link. Until Orton and Ko eventually tricked Ko to come to the ring where Paul was eventually beaten down by both men.

WrestleMania, also known as the Showcase of the Immortals, is back for its 40th annual edition as wrestling continues its hottest streak in years. Contributing factors have included Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson making a prolonged comeback, the writing involving the world title reign of his cousin Roman Reigns being strong, plus the rise of second-generation star Cody Rhodes and his quest to “finish the story” by winning the world title at WrestleMania.
Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s show.

Match #1: Pretty Deadly def. Randy Orton & Kevin Owens The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Just one week before their Triple Threat Match with United States Champion Logan Paul at WrestleMania, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens teamed up once again, this time facing Pretty Deadly. Just as Ko and Orton were rolling, Paul slithered from underneath the ring, hitting Ko in the jaw with the brass knuckles and allowing Pretty Deadly to capture the victory.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Austin Theory & Grayson Waller def. The Street Profits The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Street Profits opened the match like a house on fire as Angelo Dawkins sent Grayson Waller flying into the announce table with a massive tackle.

Match #1: Legado del Fantasma def. The Lwo The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Angel and Berto are one step closer to realizing their WrestleMania dreams as they defeated Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro in a WrestleMania Xl Tag Team Championship Qualifying Match. Angel and Berto brought the fight right to The Lwo, including throwing Del Toro off the top rope in exhilarating fashion. Del Toro fought hard and tagged in the high-flying Wilde, a move that turned the tide for a short time. Legado del Fantasma were able to isolate Wilde in the ring before hitting him with a stunning press slam into a kick right to the stomach, winning them the match.

Match #1: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – The Kabuki Warriors def. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Competing in her home country, Indi Hartwell needed to calm her nerves in an incredible atmosphere in Perth, Western Australia. Although Damage Ctrl recently ejected Bayley from its ranks, Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors were primed to go it alone against Hartwell and Candice LeRae, former Nxt Women’s Tag Team Champions. Asuka and Kairi Sane stuck with their apparent game plan of isolating LeRae from Hartwell, drawing the ire from the Australian faithful.

Match #1: Tiffany Stratton def. Liv Morgan The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Seconds after driving Liv Morgan into the SmackDown announce table, Tiffany Stratton disrespected Bianca Belair with a slap as The Est of WWE was watching the match at ringside. The irate Belair climbed up to the apron, only to inadvertently delay the official’s ability to count Morgan’s pin attempt. When Stratton kicked out, Morgan’s momentum caused her to accidentally knock Belair off the apron, allowing Tiffany to roll up Liv for an enormous win prior to her Elimination Chamber Match against Morgan, Belair, Becky Lynch, Naomi and Raquel Rodriguez.

Roman Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and he has been on top of the world for well over three years now. That is why it comes as no surprise he is viewed as the biggest star in professional wrestling.
Roman Reigns
With that being said, WWE making The Tribal Chief stay at the top of the food chain for so long might just lead to another beloved WWE Superstar ending up leaving the company and perhaps the world of professional wrestling as a whole.

Sheamus, a long-time fixture in WWE, has been sidelined due to a prolonged shoulder injury. Despite his absence from WWE television, he responded to a fan who mocked his inclination for 5-star matches.

Escobar was able to fight back, however, dialing in on Owens’ broken hand, which was still in a cast. Battling in front of U.S. Champion Logan Paul, the two competitors left it all on the line. Nxt: Takeover: Chicago will air this Saturday on the WWE Network for the first time outside of their quarterly, big four schedule. (The big four I reference of course being the WWE events Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series.) Taking place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, the show features the best and brightest of the WWE Nxt brand. Since the Nxt brand has consistently put on some of the best shows of the year for the WWE, I thought we'd take a few minutes to go through the card for the show while I offer some predictions on who may win.
