Paul Critzman III is a freelance Cinematographer, Local 600 1st AC, and FAA Part 107 Certified Drone Operator in Los Angeles. Over the past decade, Paul has worked on independent feature films, short films, TV shows, reality TV, commercials, music videos, corporate interviews, events, promos and web series. Paul gets excited about new technologies, and his passion is finding the right tools to express the story and its emotions to have an impact on others.
Paul grew up in a small town in South Carolina where he learned early on that he could better explain what was going on inside his head by making videos.
Paul studied journalism at the University of South Carolina while also working at the student TV station, SGTV. He ran training programs and served as station manager in 2013.
He also produced a 2-hour talk show at the student radio station, WUSC, managed media content for the daily newspaper, The Daily Gamecock, mentored peers in classes, worked part-time as an on-air DJ at a local commercial radio station and was a sports photographer for a local TV news station.
This body of work and Paul's ability to lead teams in high paced environments landed Paul a job producing news in Greenville, SC, at WYFF News 4. He loved telling the community's stories there, but he wanted an avenue to fully craft these types of stories. This passion drove him to Los Angeles to work as a freelancer in camera and lighting departments and pursue filmmaking.
