Human vs. nature has always been a favorite topic for fiction fans. Movies and literature constantly pit animals against humankind and have done so going back to the very beginning of storytelling, and those tend to be the stories that survive! "Moby Dick" is still relevant today, and so is "King Kong," "Jaws" and "Robinson Crusoe." Maybe that's because it's in our DNA to have a healthy fear and respect for nature or maybe it's just the dose of adrenaline we get from a fight-for-survival thriller story.
Whatever the reason, people always perk up when a human has to face down a wild animal, especially if the human is out of their element and it's the animal's domain. The teen characters in "Yellowjackets" are certainly out of their element and it was only a matter of time before the rightful inhabitants of the nature they crash-landed in paid them a visit.

Since back at 2017’s Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con about its first woman-led Marvel Cinematic Universe story, “Captain Marvel,” we’ve known the movie will include some of Marvel Comics’ worst bad guys: a group of dangerous, powerful and ruthless green aliens known as the Skrulls.
If you’re not up on your Marvel Comics, though, you could be forgiven for not knowing who or what a Skrull is. Obviously, we’ve seen aliens in Marvel’s cinematic universe before: The Chitauri, who invaded New York with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in “The Avengers”; and the Kree, blue-skinned aliens who include the genocidal fanatic Ronan The Accuser (Lee Pace), main villain in “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
The Skrulls predate both of those races in the Marvel Universe, facing off against lots of Marvel heroes over the years. And they’ve shown up on plenty of other Marvel productions, like various “Fantastic Four” cartoons,...

When Gotham returns, the ante will be upped more than ever, as the Batman prequel show’s ending with its fifth season. There will be a lot to do in the next run, then, as Bruce Wayne and his friends and foes will finally transform into the versions of themselves we know from the legend of the Dark Knight.
While speaking to EW at San Diego Comic-Con, star David Mazouz was on hand to tease what we can expect from Gotham season 5. First off, he reminded us that Gotham’s been reduced to a No Man’s Land, a quarantined, isolated city that’s a haven for criminals and needs its heroes more than ever. It’s this extreme situation which will push the characters to where they need to be.
“Last season ended with the government showing its back to Gotham. It’s a dark island, little electricity, food,...
