Dean of the Dead Presents Holiday Horrors! is a seasonal horror-themed anthology that features stories from ten different directors, all wrapped up with an introduction from Dean of the Dead – a host akin to the likes of Tales From the Crypt‘s Cryptkeeper; and with visuals that look like they’ve jumped straight from the pages of the EC Comics of old… think Creepshow but on a much lower budget!
So what terrifying tales are in this one?
First up is Little Munchkin, directed by Ryan Andrews,...

HGTV has renewed home renovation series Fix My Frankenhouse for an eight-episode second season.
In the series, Boston-based home reno experts and husband-wife team Denese and Mike Butler are on a mission to fix “Frankenstein” houses — hodge-podge properties with odd additions and piecemeal redesigns — to give them fresh floor plans that work for today’s families.
In each episode, Mike, a general contractor, and Denese, a designer, uncover major issues caused by wonky layouts, misplaced staircases and maze-like hallways and then create a functional flow and capture their clients’ style with custom finishes. By blending elements of the older homes’ charm with modern design, the couple produces stunning, cohesive spaces for homeowners.
Season 2 is slated to premiere in 2025.
Fix My Frankenhouse is produced by High Noon Entertainment.

Building a home in 100 days is tricky but try doing it as an epic hurricane threatens your build. That’s how HGTV‘s 100 Day Dream Home Season 4 kicks off with concerns that Hurricane Ian could finish the season before it started.
Dream home creators Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt revealed to Showbiz Cheat Sheet that Hurricane Ian was tracking directly toward their first project in the Tampa area this season. The season went on once Ian decided to drop south, devastating Ft. Meyers, but primarily sparing Tampa.
“We kind of dodged a bullet here,” Brian admitted. “The last hurricane that hit, it was supposed to come right over Tampa and that would have just devastated our timeline our show, everything. It did turn down towards Fort Myers.”
Hurricane threatened ‘100 Day Dream Home: Beachfront Hotel’
Even though the hurricane’s path changed, Brian and Mika still felt the impact in other ways.

Denese Butler joked that it was “love at first sight” when she learned that her husband Mike had a background in construction and design. While construction isn’t what brought the couple together, she said their new HGTV show Fix My Frankenhouse is definitely a labor of love and a family affair.
Mike and Denese tackle “hodge-podge properties with odd additions and piecemeal redesigns” on Fix My Frankenhouse. The new six-episode series, which premieres on HGTV on Sunday, April 23 follows Mike, Denese and their master carpenter fathers as they make sense of wonky designs and create a beautiful space.

Denese said their mutual love of construction and design wasn’t exactly the reason why the couple fell in love. “We actually didn’t know that we came from a background of carpenters and builders when we first met,...

HGTV is expanding its lineup for its 2022-2023 programming slate with the greenlight of six new series.
According to HGTV, the new content will feature “urgently needed renovation projects, a wider range of renovation and design budgets, more diverse personalities, globally inspired design perspectives, and a breathtaking arced story about a couple who renovate an English estate that sits on land once owned by King Henry VII.”
“Just when our audience thinks HGTV has told every possible story about home, we create brand new series with more compelling personalities and fascinating home renovation journeys that our vast viewership wants to watch,” said Jane Latman, president, HGTV & Streaming Home Content, Discovery, Inc. “We had four of the top 10 highest-rated unscripted freshman series last year. We just can’t stop telling stories about home. These six new shows will be just as addictive and escapist as our other series, so buckle up.
