- Freddie is British-Nigerian screenwriter who has lived and worked in various parts of the world. He was an analyst and strategic communications consultant for international NGOs and counter-extremism programmes. He was a reservist in the British Army, and had a stint as a journalist in the commodities, energy, and automotive industrial sectors of southern Africa and Latin America. Freddie has an extensive background in academia and research and holds degrees in Conflict Studies, Law, and Politics & History. He is now on a writing sabbatical from his Social Anthropology research studies at the University of Cambridge.
His first writing credits were the award-winning short film on the Nigerian Civil War, The Encounter (2015) and the talk show, The Nancy Isime Show (season 2) (2021). He was script consultant on Shaping Us (2024), which premiered at Pan-African Film Festival 2024.
