Game of Peace has replaced Pubg Mobile amid much controversy, confusion, and memes.
Pubg Mobile has been replaced in China with a slightly friendlier version of the game called Game for Peace. It all started when China began to crack down on the games being released in their country. One of the most notable targets of that crackdown was Pubg Mobile. China's government refused to allow the game to be monetized, and publisher Tencent tried for over a year to get them to change their mind.
It's never been made clear why China refused to allow the game to be monetized. There are several theories, though, that run the gamut from corruption to concerns over the game's violence. That last one is believed to be a big part of the problem, especially since China recently released new rules that regulate violence in video games released in the country.
