Jennifer Young Lee, MD is a practicing physician in Los Angeles. She was born in South Korea and immigrated to the United States with her parents as a child. She grew up primarily in the great state of Texas. She graduated with honors from Harvard University, went to medical school in Texas and radiology residency at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, son and fraternal twin daughters.
Jennifer started writing in 2016 and advocates for increased representation for women and underrepresented minorities through her work on the Executive Board of Chicks with Scripts.
She also co-founded multiple groups to support Asian American writers in film and TV. In February 2019, she co-founded the Asian American Women Writers Brunch in Los Angeles, in July 2019 the Asian American Showrunners Brunch, in January 2020 the Asian Americans Writers in Entertainment in NYC, and in February 2020 the Asian American Men's Writers Brunch.
