- Attended screenwriting classes taught by comedy actor/writer Lorenzo Music, staff writer on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and co-creator of "The "Bob Newhart Show." Classes were held at Sherwood Oaks Experimental College in Hollywood, California during the summer of 1979.
- As a teenager, Fredrick corresponded with comedian Moe Howard, the lead stooge of The Three Stooges. (July 1968)
- The first television reference to Steven A. Fredrick was on "The Three Stooges Show" (WCCO-TV, Minneapolis, Minnesota). This was a locally-produced TV series, thirty minutes in length, featuring the short subjects of The Three Stooges. On March 27, 1979, local TV personality John P. Gallos (1923-2005) displayed Fredrick's "All in the Family" spec script and Fredrick's hand-written letter from Moe Howard (postmarked 28 October 1968). Mr. Gallos wished Fredrick "good luck" with his career adventures in Los Angeles. [Source: 3/4" videotape.].
- Attended Oscar-nominated screenwriter Ernest Lehman's Writing Seminar at Sherwood Oaks Experimental College in Hollywood, California. Among the films screened were "West Side Story" (1961), "Sabrina" (1954), "North by Northwest" (1959), and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" (1966). The "NBNW" session was packed with film students eager to hear Lehman's recollections of working with director Alfred Hitchcock, the Master of Suspense. Classes were held from February 10 to March 3, 1981.
- From January 2000 to June 2001, Fredrick was hired as an instructor for the college course "Film As Literature/As Art" at Hawaii Pacific University. Classes were held at various military bases throughout the island of Oahu, in Hawaii. After the cancellation of the course, Fredrick lectured independently on the Hawaiian Image in Hollywood Film.
