The inaugural season of “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” wrapped Monday, naming Chris Watson and Bri Strauss as the first winners of the series. Their success came with a promise of writing, recording, and touring their music as a pair, but where are they now? And which couples are still together and making music? We tracked down the musicians for relationship updates and — hopefully — some new tunes to listen to!
Chris Watson and Bri Strauss
The winners of the series were last seen during the finale recording their track “Beyond,” which dropped on their self-titled debut album Tuesday. The tracks include five original songs, in addition to five covers from their previous “Listen To Your Heart” performances.
While the pair is very much still together, they’re quarantining separately in their respective home-states. Their album “Chris and Bri” is available on all streaming platforms.

“The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” winners Chris Watson and Bri Stauss are still together and have already dropped an album, but like any Bachelor Nation series, not every couple found a happy ending on the show.
The musical spin-off boasted a cast of 23 singing singles, but almost half of them were gone after the first two weeks of “Bachelor in Paradise”-esque mingling and eliminating. And then we lost another duo, Gabe Baker and Ruby Jane Smith (remember them?), because he was pining for the taken Savannah McKinley.
Seven couples were formed (some had been attached at the hip from the beginning) — Chris and Bri, Jamie Gabrielle and Trevor Holmes, Rudi Gutierrez and Matt Ranaudo, Natascha Bessez and Ryan Neal, Julia Rae and Sheridan Reed, Brandon Mills and Savannah, and Bekah Purifoy and Danny Padilla — for the weekly judged performances, aka when the real show began. Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched the finale of “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart.”
The contestants of “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” traveled to their final destination during Monday night’s finale. Chris Watson and Bri Strauss, Trevor Holmes and Jamie Gabrielle, and Matt Ranaudo and Rudi arrived in Nashville ahead of their last performances.
Each couple was given their weekly musical assignment before they began rehearsals and their last dates. While most immediately began to practice, Matt continued to express doubts about his relationship with Rudi.
After realizing they couldn’t catch up to the emotions of their fellow contestants, the two ultimately decided to end their relationship. “I will forever have such deep feelings for you,” he told her in a parting sentiment. “We will be so bonded from this whole thing for the rest of our lives.”

The final four couples on “The Bachelor presents: Listen to Your Heart” headed to Las Vegas on the May 11 episode.
The eight contestants packed up their bags and hopped on tour busses for a road trip. Each couple shared a bus and alone time as they traveled the daunting four-hour drive from Los Angeles.
Ryan Neal and Natascha Bessez, Chris Watson and Bri Strauss, and Trevor Holmes and Jamie Gabrielle headed directly to Sin City, while Matt Ranaudo and Rudi decided to take a detour. The two spent the night on the road in lieu of their grand hotel. Once they finally arrived in Nevada, Matt expressed hesitations about their relationship.

After spending two weeks fostering relationships in the “Bachelor” mansion, the “Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” contestants were given a rude awakening. At the beginning of Week 3, host Chris Harrison offered insight into the updated format of the show: “The next time I see you, I only want to see couples that are serious about taking that next step and moving forward,” he said.
The new reality shook the mansion and left contestants fighting to establish something substantial. Eventually, only seven couples remained: Matt Ranaudo and Rudi, Danny Padilli and Bekah Purifoy, Brandon Mills and Savannah McKinley, Ryan Neal and Natascha Bessez, Chris Watson and Bri Strauss, Trevor Holmes and Jamie Gabrielle, and Sheridan Reed and Julie Rae. A star was sort of reborn on “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart.” Trevor Holmes, who stole Katy Perry‘s heart on “American Idol” in 2018, made an unforgettable debut, not just getting wrapped in a love triangle, but because he looked and sounded so much like the second coming of Jed Wyatt that even Hannah Brown was triggered. But don’t think he is exactly like the former “Bachelorette” winner.
“I didn’t want people to think I’m just on there to promote my career, so then when this opportunity came along to experience love and do music, it just seemed like a no-brainer for me,” Trevor told “Entertainment Tonight” (watch below).
Fantastic shade. Not an avid “Bachelor” viewer, Trevor did not see Season 15 of “The Bachelorette” and does not know Wyatt, but he heard about all the drama that Wyatt wrought, going on “The Bachelorette” to boost...

Trevor Holmes might just supply us with all the drama on “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” this season. The former “American Idol” contestant/Katy Perry crush and current Jed Wyatt twin got immediately entangled in the first love triangle of the season and will be caught in the first scandal of the season as well.
In the promo of the second episode at the end of the series premiere, a new contestant, Natascha, struts into the mansion and drops a bombshell on everyone. “I actually know Trevor because I’m friends with his ex,” she announces. Later, during a sit-down with Trevor, she asks him, “The lying and the cheating — are you gonna tell Jamie?”, referring to Trevor’s love triangle paramour from whom he received a rose in the premiere over her other suitor Ryan.
While Trevor isn’t shown responding to Natascha in this promo, astute...

“The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” is about a bunch of aspiring musicians who go on a reality show to look for love and/or to further their careers. In other words: The Jed Wyatt Story.
Wyatt, of course, was the country-pop crooner whose acoustic guitar was attached to him like an extra limb on “The Bachelorette” last summer. He strummed and serenaded his way into Hannah Brown‘s heart, only for her to break off their engagement after word came out that he had a girlfriend back home and it was clear he didn’t go on the show for “the right reasons.” (If only he had waited a year!)
Well, Tptb managed to find a Jed 2.0 for the musical spin-off. To be fair, “Listen to Your Heart” is full of Jeds, but the this one in particular is basically a Jed clone: a bearded, acoustic guitar-playing, sherpa-lined...

No one in the cast of “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” is from any other “Bachelor” series, but one of them is from another reality show: Trevor Holmes.
The 29-year-old, who is basically the long-lost twin of “The Bachelorette’s” Jed Wyatt (not exactly a good thing since we all know how Season 15 ended), competed on “American Idol” two years ago during ABC’s first installment of the revived singing competition series. If his name doesn’t ring a bell, then maybe this will: He was the dude Katy Perry shamelessly flirted with during his audition (watch above).
To be fair, the entire judging panel was slobbering over Holmes’ bearded jawline, and Luke Bryan was the first to call him a “dreamboat.” But absolutely no one was more infatuated than Perry, who cut off Holmes mid-sentence as he was telling his heartstrings-tugging story (part-time construction worker trying to...

The Bachelor's new spinoff Listen to Your Heart combines the format of the dating show with that of a music competition, and at least one of the show's young hopefuls has been on reality TV before. Trevor Holmes, a 29-year-old singer, actually competed on American Idol two years ago. Although he didn't make it to the final rounds, he certainly left a major impression.
Trevor made headlines when he auditioned for Idol in 2018, during the first season of the "revived" show and its first season on ABC. Although he clearly impressed the judges with his voice and his musical skills, he also notably made a big impression on judge Katy Perry, who called him a "dreamboat" and flirted with him on camera. Throughout the season, he seemed to do fairly well, but in the end, he just didn't quite hold up against the competition, and he was eliminated just...

The Bachelor's new show The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart premiered on Monday and fans already think they've met this season's villain. Mere minutes into the series, people on social media began to suspect that Trevor Holmes is Jed Wyatt 2.0. For one, the 29-year-old is an aspiring country pop singer, as was Jed. Secondly, the star chose of his own volition to wear a jacket with a sherpa lining, similar to the one Jed wore when he tried to serenade Hannah Brown. The former Bachelorette herself was watching the premiere and tweeted, "I'm triggered by this whole thing. @chrisbharrison #TheBachelorLTYH." "We've seen how this whole look turns out...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched the series premiere of “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart.”
Amid the era of social distancing, ABC is bringing a familiar franchise back to viewers’ living rooms. “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” made its series premiere on Monday night as the newest installment in “The Bachelor” family.
The six-episode event is considered a cross between “A Star Is Born” and the standard reality series’ formula — it brings together a group of 20 single musicians and sends them on a rotation of dates in the hopes of finding love. Each week, new additions are brought into the house (a la “Bachelor in Paradise”) to shake up the couples as they navigate their relationships. While it takes the formula of “Paradise,” the show recruited a body of contestants made exclusively of performers — each with their own unique genre and...

We laughed. We cried. We laughed some more. Thanks, Katy Perry!
The “American Idol” finale may have been a little lackluster in terms of star power, but the judge in the middle seat — when she could endure sitting in it for more than a minute — more than made up for it. Whether it was begging Bachelorette contender Becca Kufrin for her hand — and a chance to compete on the ABC show — or spinning herself silly after the revelation that Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Maddie Poppe are now a couple, or mock fawning over hottie Trevor Holmes, who showed up again in a cute video sendup of Richle’s “Hello” with Ada Vox and Noah Davis, between Perry’s snappy retorts, her physical comedy or her pop culture know-how, there was not a dull moment.

Watch our video recap above to see Marcus James Dixon and Denton Davidson break down the good, the bad and the just plain cruel decisions the judges have made so far.

Trevor Holmes saw his “American Idol” journey come to an end on Monday when he didn’t make the Top 24. While he numbered among the Top 50, his performance of “Slow Hands” by one-time One Direction star Niall Horan didn’t impress the judges enough for him to move on in the competition.
This was a surprise, given that he had a huge fan in head judge Katy Perry. On Sunday’s episode we had seen him wow her with his cover of Phillip Phillips‘ “Home.” Phillips was the season 11 winner of “American Idol” when it was still on Fox. Holmes won’t be winning season 16, which is on ABC.

Holmes first caught Perry’s fancy on the second episode of the revival. She was clearly impressed with his cover of the Brett Young chart-topper “In Case You Didn’t Know.

Monday night’s “American Idol” (April 2) delivered the final judgement, with judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan narrowing down the contestants from 50 to 24. One by one, each singer had to look fate in the eyes, and with that came several shocking eliminations.
First on the stage was 16-year old Layla Spring, who bravely took on the Ike and Tina Turner classic “Proud Mary.” Although Bryan said the judges were nervous about putting a teenager through, Spring’s vibrato improved (a directive Perry instructed her to work on), and she made it to the top 24.
Michael Woodward, who seemed so green during auditions, had clearly blossomed in the weeks that followed. On Sunday night’s show, he impressed with the song choice of “Maybe This Time” from “Cabaret,” and on Monday he picked an equally risky tune, “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette. Although it wasn’t the strongest selection for Woodward,...

On the April 2 episode of “American Idol,” the 50 contestants to survive Hollywood Week will be winnowed down to less than half that when Ryan Seacrest reveals the Top 24. As with the Fox version that ran for 15 seasons, this revival on ABC gave a slew of those who auditioned golden tickets to Hollywood. A whopping 169 made the trip to sing again for the three judges – pop princess Katy Perry, country superstar Luke Bryan and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter Lionel Richie .
At the end of the April 1 episode, we learned which 50 would get one more chance to impress. The 26 men and 24 women took to the stage at the Exchange club in downtown Los Angeles on Feb. 8. We will see highlights from these performances over the course of two hours. At the end of the evening, we will know the Top 24 who will then be judged on both solo performances and celebrity duets over...

The revival of “American Idol” on ABC is following the same format as did on Fox for 15 seasons. On the April 2 episode, host Ryan Seacrest will reveal the Top 24 contestants, who will then fight it out over four episodes for a place in the live shows that start on April 22. These two dozen hopefuls were culled from the Top 50 that were revealed on the April 1 episode. To cut this number by more than half, the three judges — Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — had the contestants sing again.
The Top 50, which was made up of 26 men and 24 women, took to the stage at the Exchange club in downtown Los Angeles on Feb. 8. If you can’t wait till Monday night to learn the results, scroll down to see the names of the 12 men and 12 women that made it through to the Top 24 as well as the songs they sung...

Sunday night on “American Idol,” Trevor Holmes sang Phillip Phillips‘ “Home” in front of judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Trevor and Katy have a flirtatious history, but Katy declared that she was “over it” before he came out to give his latest performance during Hollywood Week. However, soon after Trevor sang Katy fell into a jealous rage over his girlfriend. Watch Trevor’s performance video above.

“American Idol” may be on a new network (ABC) but has the same host (Ryan Seacrest) and is following the same format that worked so well for 15 seasons on Fox. After five episodes devoted to the auditions, the show shifted to Hollywood where 169 hopefuls had to sing once again for the three judges: Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
The first of the Hollywood week episodes, in which the contestants sang in groups of 10 and solo, aired on March 26 and April 1. Only 50 of these contestants were given the chance to be showcased in solo performances that determined the top 24. Those Top 50 took to the stage at the Exchange club in downtown Los Angeles on Feb. 8.
The episode featuring these performances will air on April 2. If you can’t wait for the results, scroll down to see the roster of 26 men who performed, the songs they sung and their eventual...
