Erin grew up in Northern California and is a first generation college graduate. She was a Division 1 swimmer at UC Irvine where she double-majored in Criminology, Law & Society, and Psychology & Social Behavior. At UC Irvine, she was President of Model United Nations (also serving as the instructor of the 2-credit course), co-founder of Model Arab League, and was nominated to the Homecoming Court. She graduated from UC Irvine with honors and was invited to present her honor's thesis "The Influence of Confession and DNA Evidence on Mock-Juror Decision-Making" at the a conference for the American Psychology Association. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal assistant at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in their environmental litigation department before moving to Washington to pursue attend law school. She also received a Certification in Forensic Science from University of Washington. She holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Seattle University School of Law with honors, is admitted to the National Order of the Barristers, is a certified mediator, and has been an Adjunct Professor at her alma mater. After almost a decade of practicing law, she shifted careers and became a global campaign manager for broadcast, print, digital, and social advertising campaigns for Amazon's award-winning brand and mass advertising team. She still lives in the PNW where she is an award-winning producer and executive producer for independent documentaries.
