- I grew up going to gay clubs way too young. I loved gay club music. I felt very at home with my gay friends and felt understood. I wanted to be a raver, and I wanted to wear crazy outfits. I'm seen as a joke [in Europe], and nobody wants to talk about my music, people don't want to work with me. I'm just, like, 'the tranny on TV' to people. Back then I wanted to get discovered more than anything. But I never did. And then I learned like, Shit, I gotta do it myself.
- Pride is important because it's important to lift each other up, think about your community, hug your friends, be proud of yourself and keep going.

- Honestly, I would say playing my first Pride show in LA. It was a very big stage. It was in West Hollywood and it was like the first time I really felt like, "Whoa, something's happening in my career. There's a big crowd that knows my songs and all of that." That was really cool.
