Maryline Chery

Maryline Chery's a French bilingual actress, artist, creator and playwright of Haitian descent based in Montreal. Chery is both alumni from Concordia University's BFA Theatre Program and The Black Theatre Workshop (Canada's oldest black theatre company) artist mentorship program. Chery's solo play "AFRODISIAQUE" won the award for best show of the year at ZOOFEST (OFF-Just For Laughs). Chery is also the recipient of the Black Theatre Workshop Gloria-Mitchell-Aleong for her contribution and excellence in performing arts.
Deeper at heart, Maryline's craft revolves around her heritage and identity, which has led to theatre making centered on Black feminism and West Indian culture.
