It's true! A "Friday the 13th" TV reboot is happening on the CW. The series, which comes from "The Pretender" creators Steve Mitchell and Craig Van Sickle, is being envisioned as a more "grounded," "sophisticated" take on the masked murderer and will center on "the ongoing quest of a detective’s search for his missing brother that is somehow tied to Jason Vorhees, a long thought dead serial killer who has now returned to wreak havoc in the new Crystal Lake." Luckily for fans, the show will actually be featuring Jason and not a pair of intrepid antique store owners (ahem, ahem), but I've got a few other suggestions on how to make this new iteration of the long-running franchise resonate with fans both old and new.
