Producer Peter Horton has renewed his first-look deal with Universal Television. Under the deal, Horton will continue to write and produce projects for the studio, as well as direct. Horton co-created and produced geopolitical drama “American Odyssey,” which was cancelled by NBC after one season. He directed the pilots for “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Class Of ’96,” “Birdland,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Dirty, Sexy, Money,” “The Philanthropist,” “Deception” and “Ironside.” His work on “Grey’s Anatomy” earned him Golden Globe and PGA awards and Emmy and DGA award nominations.
