While The Young Pope TV show will not been renewed for a second season on HBO, it isn't exactly cancelled either. Instead, THR reports HBO has ordered The New Pope -- a follow-up to The Young Pope -- from creator and director Paolo Sorrentino. The Young Pope told the story of Lenny Belardo's (Jude Law) ascension as Pope Pius Xiii. The HBO TV series cast also includes Diane Keaton, Silvio Orlando, Javier Cámara, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli, and James Cromwell.
