Welcome back everyone to the weekly box office report! Each and every Sunday, you can expect a look at what made the most money in theaters, as well as just how all of the new releases fared. This week, a remake and a hotly anticipated sequel entered the marketplace, alongside the latest effort from action filmmaker Luc Besson. The sequel in question was Toy Story 4, the remake was Child’s Play, and Besson’s flick was Anna. How did they all do? Let us take a look right now at just that… Taking the top spot, unsurprisingly, was Toy Story 4, though perhaps shockingly Pixar’s latest also fell victim to the summer drought and potential non superhero franchise exhaustion that’s been plaguing the box office.
