We give an early preview of the state of the race for Oscars 2020, and which movies have the best shot at winning Best Picture.
The nights are growing longer, and the wind crisper. Winter is here. But while for many that means festive holiday lights, for those with screeners piling up in their mailboxes, it’s something else altogether: awards season. With that realization comes the endless conversation of what is the Best Picture of the year. Everyone has an opinion on that, including the Gotham Awards,, which gave that top honor to Marriage Story; the National Board of Review, meanwhile, preferred The Irishman. But when folks talk about “Best Picture,” what they really mean is Oscar… and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that decides it.
Hence we are here to give you our incredibly early predictions and analysis for that category, as well as a few others.
