Nominations for the 47th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday and ABC’s General Hospital led the soapy pack with 23 total nods, edging out Days of Our Lives‘ 22. The Young and the Restless followed with 21, while CBS sister series The Bold and the Beautiful netted 13.
Rookie talker The Kelly Clarkson Show put up a strong showing, scoring seven total nods (the most of any entertainment talk show) including for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
