Updated: It’s finally here. After months of feverish anticipation, U.K. cinema goers can now buy their tickets for the year’s most anticipated movie, “Tenet.”
Tickets for the Christopher Nolan thriller, which will release in U.K. cinemas on Aug. 26, went on sale at midnight on Tuesday at chains Vue and Cineworld. Odeon also opened ticket sales on Wednesday, including the BFI Imax, along with Showcase and Picturehouse.
As of midnight on Tuesday, Vue appeared to be selling tickets for the film, most priced at £6.99 ($9), across all its cinemas, which will be open in time for the Aug. 26 release. A Cineworld ticket for a 2D screening of the film cost around £15 ($19).
Odeon said on Wednesday that it will open a further 70 cinemas in time for the “Tenet” release, meaning around 99 of its venues will be operational by late August.
