The dark comedy, which also stars Brühl himself, will centre on a film star and his troublesome neighbour. Renowned German-Spanish actor Daniel Brühl, best known for his performances in films and series such as Good Bye Lenin!, My Zoe, The Alienist and Inglourious Basterds, is ready to make his directorial debut with Next Door. Brühl will also appear in front of the camera as the lead actor in this dark comedy that centres on a film star. When his neighbour confronts him with troubling revelations, it risks destroying both his career and his private life. Peter Kurth is to play the problematic neighbour in the feature, which will also explore subjects such as gentrification and social inequality in Berlin.
