Bearing the Cannes 73 label, François Ozon’s work walked away with the Audience Award while Alice nella Città saw Punta Sacra scoop its Jury Award and Ibrahim its Golden Camera trophy. Summer of 85 by François Ozon has been crowned the winning film of the 15th Rome Film Fest, which closed yesterday, 25 October. The only prize awarded for works competing in the Official Selection, the Bnl Audience Award was voted upon by viewers of the festival who attended the screenings in great number despite the range of restrictions introduced as a result of Covid-19. Indeed, whilst cinema capacity was reduced to 50% for this year’s unusual edition - which unspooled just ahead of another round of cinema closures in Italy, turnout was recorded at an impressive 85%.
