Hollywood has tweaked its return-to-work protocols as more and more films and TV shows have had to pause production after members of their casts and crews tested positive for Covid-19. Under a new agreement that took effect November 30, producers will now have to notify the unions of positive test results on their shows so that the unions can apprise cast and crew members of the Covid-19 status of their sets.
The new agreement is a side letter to the protocols that were adopted September 21 by management’s AMPTP and the DGA, SAG-AFTRA, IATSE, the Teamsters, and the Basic Crafts unions.
