Sixty years ago, “West Side Story” star Rita Moreno made history as the first Hispanic actress to ever win an Oscar, taking home Best Supporting Actress for playing Anita in the musical at the 1962 Academy Awards ceremony. Sixty years later, and it seems that history will repeat itself. Steven Spielberg‘s remake of “West Side Story” and its own Anita, actress Ariana DeBose, is the overwhelming favorite to win in the Best Supporting Actress category among Gold Derby experts and users.
