As most IMDb users and movie fans already know, the American Film Institute
came up with several thematic lists ranking classic American movies in such categories as thrills, laughs, passions, iconic quotes, screen-characters (heroes and villains), songs and scores.
At the end, 11 significant lists were made (we won't count the Top 50 movie stars because it doesn't feature any movie title, nor the Top 100 Movies from 1998 since it's been updated in 2007)
Out of these 11 lists, only 12 American classics had the privilege to be listed in at least 6 of them. Which one, in your opinion, best defines American Cinema, or, if you had to pick one of them to show how great American Cinema is, which one would you pick?
